There are several ways. One of the simplist is to use the Pertronix set-up. I have one in mine and is works fine. It sure helped a lot. Other ways include the Mopar electronic conversion and an HEI conversion. Check out the Slant Six Forums for some additional insight.

One more vote for pertronix. 1/2 hour to install and about 70 bucks to your door!

If you use the pertronix set-up with your original distibuter you won't have to recurve the junkyard electronic.

I still run points. I have spun my slant to 5900 no problem!

I will be switching to GM HEI or Mopar in the future.

No Pertronics for me. To many horror stories, and I drive my car long distances.

I need cheap parts off the shelf in every state I visit.

Either that buy 2 Pertronics, and test drive both. Keep one for a spare.

Another vote for pertronix.Had mine on the dart /6 for two years..no problems at all.I used their recomended coil on my conversion also.If pertronix guidelines are followed, their stuff is pretty much problem free,D.
