As I know nobody had made Dodge R5/P7 boosted motor so I start post where I and probably some other R5/P7 guys hopefully get some good answers.

1. what path take - turbocharger or procharger?
2. blown throgh carb or injection?
3. who will make and grind right cam for R5/P7 motor
4. custom pistons ofcorse...what manufacturer may be the one to choose? JE, Diamond or someone else
5. etc.

Hope we R5/P7 guys get this post well going and get some good tips and solutions

Thanks
Georg

I started a post like this and got zero r3piles. I'm just going to thrown twin Borg n warners on it with a mo tec system, and run a safe turn up, them later nda future go into da internal.

I'm building a p7 headed motor, but not using a r5 bottom end. It's a highly modified aluminum A8 Block. 100% dry deck. All coolant will travel through hoses. The trickiest part has been modifying the valley for the cam. Other things involve moving some head bolt holes, making rocker stands, etc...The cam core is ready for heat treat, cam will be ground to my specs. This project has been in delay mode for awhile, but will continue at the end of this $now $eason.
I'm putting all I've learned into this one. Looking for a solid 7 second car this time around.

Are you dropping it in another Olds or are you going to be crative and grab a flat cart from Home Depot?

Actually it's going into a VERY ratty '53 studebaker commander... Unless I can get away with one of those carts.

1. Depends on what you are looking for I like turbo because I can have several size turbos for class rules
2. injection all the way
3.we have a guy that does ours and all of nascar if you have a blank send to him.
4.ross. make sure you use a custom turbo builder not just your average machine shop
5. what kind of power are you looking for?
