J code Chargers OP member J Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 57 phx, az.	Can a 383 dual point be used in a 440 if you swap out the shaft for a 440 distibutor shaft? Can you use a single point 440 distributor shaft for the swap?

So what I'm reading is that: Yes a 440 distributor shaft can be used in the 383 housing but the shaft would HAVE to be from a 440 dual point because there is a difference between the Prestolite distributors and non-Prestolite units. Do I have this correct? Thanks guys.
