I have peronally ran the Hughes Coolface lifters in 2 of my engines. One was a 440 with .600 lift solid cam.I put over 900 passes on the 440 before the crank broke.I pulled the top end off to sell to a friend of mine. The cam and the lifters looked great.I am currently running a 512 lowdeck wedge with the .650 comp. solid cam with the coolface lifters.I have put 290 passes on that engine this past year with no problems so far.I have a friend who is also running them in a 493 RB engine with no problems.

I have been running the Howards solid lifters that oil the face with a tiny EDM hole. I have been very happy with them. With the 1.6 rockers I run, the cam is 0.690" lift and 150 lbs seat, and 440 lbs open. I have it apart for a winter freshen, and all the lifters and cam lobes look good.
