With the new compression rule you could go up to 10 to 1 That and the extra cubes along with the TQ could all add up to be one of the most potent small block combos. Spend some time putting it together right and keep it as light as you can and you should have a sweet little ride. Let me know if you need any help Last edited by scatpacktom; 01/15/11 12:16 PM.

Hopefully it can be heater delete because most of the system was missing or broken when I got the car.Don't really want to track the stuff down right now. I plan on building another 360 for it later to take advantage of the new rule.This "true" stock motor is just to get me out there on a shoestring budget.I'm intimidated by the TQ,I'm sure I'll need some pointers.You helped alot on my six pack when I got it running. This will also be my sons first car.He turns 15 next month so I have some time to play.

You going to bring the Duster to the Purestock drags like the previous owner did?I think you would dig it.

It fired up yesterday and ran 6-7 minutes before the top tank of the radiator started leaking from a small stress crack near the filler neck.Need to fix that before I run it any longer. 6567468-dusterengine2.JPG (130 downloads)

Maggot You both are correct.The car should have a 26in radiator and power brakes.The radiator in there now is a 74 318 a-body radiator.Didn't want to hack up the core support if this radiator will cool it.On the brake side of things,unless someone is going to donate a correct a-body booster and associated bracketry,its going to stay manual disc.That stuff just isn't laying around anymore like it used to.My old 440 dart had the same set up and I had no issues with stopping. Seth_Jones OP pro stock S Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,551 Marion,Indiana	Best run so far is a 13.78@100.5 at the Stanton Purestock event last September.Ran a 13.79 and lots of 13.8s as well.Might swap out the 3.55's for some 3.92's for next year.I shift at 5k and also cross the line at that RPM.
