Ok, so I am still trying to figure out my transmission noise.

I will be waiting until spring to attack it, but since I am dropping the tranny anyway to have a look. I want to change the converter for more "kick in the pants" driving.

Here is where my ignorance comes in.

I have always had "off the shelf" torque converters for my motors.

Would having one built really make a big difference in driving and performance?

The current converter is a 2300 stall mopar unit. Since I suspect the converter (no way to know for sure just yet), just want to change it and get improvement in the process...

SO.....answers? If I do get one made, who is the best to go with?

eight

Mopar or no car

Coan. Had them do an 8” for a 451 stroker once and the results were great. I have one of their “off the shelf” models too. Not only will you get the stall speed you want, I haven’t heard of anyone’s convertors that are more efficient (less slip) on the top end than theirs.

Dynamic and Turbo Action both make great converters. I have used both with great results. Ron

I email Turbo Action occasionally and it sometimes does take a while for them to reply.
They are busy at times.
