Why dont just get repro mufflers from Accurate or Gardner's Exhaust?
Because I didn't know nor ever heard of them. That's why I'm asking. Isn't the repro stuff usually kind of more expensive than the stuff Summit sells that's comparable?

http://www.accurateltd.com/I am sure summit stuff will be cheaper....but check out their prices and decide. http://www.accurateltd.com/I dont know what "generic" muffler would sound like an OEM hemi muffler though. Maybe somebody else can chime in. OEM cars had mufflers and then they also had the resonators....
