not haveing the belt drive upon the initial mock up, here's what i ran into. the jesel cover would not sit flush to the gasket area. it was hitting on the areas in black. the thrust boss for the cam needed some work and theres a galley plug that needed some grinding as well. this jesel drive is about 15 years old and maybe the newer ones might work with out any mods. alls well now, but i wish i did this before the bottom end was assembled. was a lot of time tapeing and sealing things up to keep the chips out. but i did.

I bought and used a new jesel belt drive three years ago from Jesel, I used on a 1969 440 block with no grinding needed I have bought and used gear drives, Milidon, KB and Donovans that needed the boss rounded ogg and flattened that you have highlighted in black I do have a iron wedge World block that I have not treid to use yet, maybe I have some grinding to do on it when it comes time to assemble and use it

On my World aluminum Hemi raised cam block I had similar grinding to do, rounding out the top portion of the block to make it fit took the most time. Used a 4 1/2" grinder with a course wheel to rough it out then a flap wheel to smooth it out. Can not tell any work was done. I was quoted $75. to have it fitted at the machine shop, took about 15 minutes for me to do it

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I have had to do the same to the blocks I have used as well.
