Getting ready to have a cage put in the Dart and I don't know a thing about what I need to tell the guy. He's a buddy that doesn't normally do drag stuff, mostly roundy-rounders. But if I get him the specs, he will do it up.

So, where should I go to get the condensed version of requirements for a 10 sec. car? And for that matter, I guess I may as well get all the rules for the car to pass inspection.

I am not sure that it will ever see a sanctioned track (our local track isn't sanctioned), but I thought that I would get the bigger, more difficult things out of the way.

A 6 point roll bar is good until 9.99 or faster. 1 3/4 .134 MS EWS is fine. It needs to be welded directly to the frame or 6x6 plates. You can buy a basic prebent *kit* from S&W race cars for $189.00.

NHRA rule books have the drawings and tubing thickness's.

Once you go 9.99 or quicker is when you need a full cage
and thats when you need to have it certified (and alot
of added safety equipment)
