Are there 2 different center links for a bodies? I have a set of hoocker super comp headers and the hit the center link. Mine has a bend down from the where the idler and pitman goes into and drops like 3/4" if it was straight it would clear, Otherwise im gonna have to dent headers.

Im kinda wondering what to do, who has the super comp headers on a stock suspension car? I dont want to dent them, but I guess I might have to. Or is there a pitman arm, and idler arm thats lower?

I might loosen the engine mount bolts, and loosen the bolt that hold the motor mounts to the block, and see if it will drop down. I only need about 1/2 the header bolt to get them to fit. I also might take the center tubes to the press and oval the tubes at least that might make then look a little more professional.

I think there is one for six cylinders and another for V8s.

I think the six cylinder ones are straight across and the V8 have the drop down in them, maybe vise a versa

It has all the answers.

There is NO 6 cylinder centerlink after 1966 for A bodies... PERIOD!

OK, so here it goes, If there isnt a straight center link, can one be made?? Can I cut and weld one? have one fabbed up? like take a chunk of round stock, and smash the ends, and drill and taper the ends?

Would a straight one clear the oil pan? That bend is there for a reason, if your running an aftermarket pan its even more unlikely the straight one will work.

You can add some shims under the motor mounts maybe? It will at least help some.
