I had solid motor mounts in my 67 440 Coronet RT. I noticed that the engine sat cradled on the K-frame about an 1" higher than with stock mounts. Would this effect the geometry of the drive-line? Pinion angle etc. Thanks.

It will make a bit of difference but not much...you
can figure it with math(if you want)... being that
the trans mount is the same place its pivoting on that
point so the tail shaft will be a bit lower

i'd measure it with an angle finder, just to be sure. adjust as necessary. it shouldn't be a big deal.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

Unless they were home made solid mounts , all the boughten ones that I have seen were the same thickness as the rubber mounts, I believe I had Moroso ones , they were direct replacements . Were your original ones broken?

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead
