Guys, Sory to keep harping on tires, but I've been sorta shocked at how little life most of you get out of a pair of ET Radials. So I'll be keeping a set of street tires for regualar street duty and just throwing on the strip tires for race use only, and the drive there and back.
For strip only use, which would you prefer on a high 11 second (my goal) car?
255/60-15 ET Radials or 27x10x15 ET Streets
I know I might be able to fit slightly bigger tires in the wells of my 67 B-body, but I'm convinced it will hook with these, and I don't want to kill the gearing, as it has 3.91's in it and last year with a 28" slick, it was striping at only about 5600 (shifting at 6500).
Lastly, should I be concerned at all about mixing bias rears with radial fronts? I did it last year with ET Drags. No real issues, but we are over 110 mph, here.
As always, thanks for your helpful thoughts, and have a Merry Christmas!!!

No question the Radial is a better tire for you. You will ET better with the radial, the car will drive way better with the radial 11 even 10 sec car should have no issues with track conditions, as long as you know how to tune shocks for track conditions the radial is a way better tire
....BAD A$$ STREET CAR.....

You can borrow my Radials for a day if you want to try them. They're currently on 15x8 wheels with 5.5" BS. They're faster, more stable, and much safer on the streets than a bias ply slick. FWIW I drove the car to work today, in the rain, into downtown Seattle and back. Just another day, I do it all the time.

Thats a great offer, Dustin. Thanks, but I don't think I need them.... It would seem the opinions are overwhelming in favor of the radials. The two tracks I'll be at are both in pretty stellar shape most all of the time. I'll be getting a pair of 255's in Jan.
Thanks for chiming in, everyone.
