Check your gears every 50 runs. If you are using street gears, the ring gear will start chipping teeth off at 100-150
If I had to check my gears every 50 runs I wouldn't race!!!!
I'm at 3300 lbs with 1.46 60ft times.I do have MW billet caps with lightened/polished street gears and have to be close to a 1,000 runs over the last 8 yrs. IMHO you should me fine with that set-up.

You might be suprised what it will cost to put a dana in your car. If you have to buy a spool and gears and axles, and set-up cost. You are already well over a grand. Just sell your rear for a couple hundred bucks and then call dr diff or moser and ad 2 or 3 hundred and get a new one already set up and ready to go. Or, for ex, I just picked up a 4.10 dana with a posi for 250 bucks, and go from there. I can get them for that all day around here.

sure! The green car is my Brothers car. It is a small block. Both our cars are naturally aspirated too. His motor is for sale on race parts right now if you want to see the combo! We both have full int, stock wheel tubs, and cars are streetable, but not driven on the road, lol. Both have 727's and 8 3/4's. Good luck with your car, sounds like it should run good.

"499", stock block, mild 440-1 heads, footbrake, 8 3/4 rear, full int, stock framerails, 8 1/2" wheel w/10" tire, no power adders, single carb, exhaust, all steel except hood and front bumper, 3200 plus lbs. 1.3 60ft, 9.3's at 145... " You know it just isn"t FAIR. Our 493 Indy heads,682 roller,13.5,1050 Dominator etc. at 3400 lbs. only ran low 10's at 135.Short times in the 1.40's with 14 inch slicks and a Transbrake! Put the DANA in cuz we figured it would kill the 8-3/4! Had to put 150 shot to it to go 9.50's! And you did it not only once but with 2 different cars!!! Mopar to ya Mike

JMO at that weight/mph that combo should easily be in the 9's,I would consider working the short times down some(NA)then spray the yell out of it.

Thanks Mike! Where abouts in Pa are you? I'm right at the Pa/Md line, about 20 minutes from Mason Dixon. I'm sure we have probably crossed paths before and just didn't know it. Talk to ya soon Here is a Family line up, minus a couple, lol.
