I was looking for a 6.1L HEMI and I found out there is a 7.0L and a 7.2L HEMI. I wonder what the power and reliability on those engines are like.

Just stroked 6.4's.. probably more to come. Now if they would just get rid of the coil on plug covers...

There are strokers based on the 6.1 in 392 (6.4L), 426 (7.0L), and 440 (7.2L) avail in the aftermarket already. Also a 392 stroker for a 5.7 based engine IIRC. Now a factory 6.4L as well in 2011 SRT8 vehicles, not to mention the Mopar Performance 6.4L crate engine that has been around for a few years. Lots of choices with the modern Hemi as far as displacement goes if you get away from stock.

Where and how much could I buy a 6.1L HEMI with everything I need (wiring harnesses, ecu, computers, etc.) to just drop it into my project?

Check out Bouchillon Performance. They usually stock both the crate engine version and the OE setup. The crate engine is easier to "drop in". The OE version has more accessories but is setup for drive by wire.

They aren't that bad priced. $9k for a new engine and software to tune it yourself using a laptop.
