The 572's will work fine on a 540. If he has a 4.565 bore now, then he adds a 4.500 crank and gets a 589" motor.I have ran 440-1 heads on several 540 and 557 motors without issue. Actually ran quite well. The added intake volume of the 572 is what its all about. People get all hung up on them not flowing much better than a 440-1, but thats not what it is all about.
He should be looking more at what he NEEDS, then general opinion. Should buiold his motor based on needs, both performance and budget.

Have him call Todd Marsh at Marsh Performance. Todd may still have a World, or also has the Koleno blocks.
I never signed on for the World block deal, as they only could sell the aluminum blocks direct, no cast iron, only thru M/P.
I was pretty sure the World block/ Mopar deal was going away.

What's the price of a Koleno block? Are they heavy?
What does an aluminum block cost? Would it be streetable?

As far as the Koleno blocks go: -Price is set by the individual builder/distributor -Weight is 288lbs w/o caps at 4.5 bore As of now there are only a limited number still available. I believe Koffels have a few www.b1heads.com (419)433-4410 or Best Machine www.bestmachineracing.com (248)987-6038. Due to our current weather situation our schedule has been pushed back for production but none the less we will be working extremely hard on cranking them out for the new year
