I sprayed primer, masked it, then BLACK, and then....

Surprisingly, the Krylon was almost a dead on match. It's kind of hard to see here, but if you look closely on the part on the right, you can see the original silver color down in the low-spots. The first three ridges are sprayed with Krylon dull stainless, and you can't tell the difference when looking at the two colors in person. The parts in the middle and on the left are primed, their black slits painted and are waiting to be remasked a finish coat of dull stainless applied.

The black stips look white in this picture because of the reflection, but the edge lines between the colors came out looking like the oiginal parts.

Hmmm yes, looks like you know ...I sympathize, I was told to paint the silver and then tape each gill off and spray the bumper coat to get the black back...I was pretty sure that would be a train wreck, but just thinking about taping all that twice was enough to try to get me to steady my painting skills. So with the Testors, has it been durable for use outside? Not that I am going to treat it to harsh weather, but just wondering how tough it seems for outdoor use. How long have had your paint on and have you had any probs? Thanks much!
Haven't had the car outside yet, but there shouldn't be a problem, since the Testors is enamel.
