The pcv valve on my '96 Ram 1500 is on the pass. side valve cover. Same engine in the garage on a stand is on the drivers side. The truck has a hose just stuck into the drivers side valve cover that goes up into the intake manifold. It didn't have a breather cap on the drivers side, just a grommet. I pulled the breather cap out of the engine in the garage & put it on the truck & hooked up the hose to the cap.
Is this going to work out ok? I bought the truck used & thought I'd checked everything, but...
It does seem like it ran ok that way, but I'm sure it wasn't right. I'm new to these Magnums, but can do ok with the older style stuff.
All of the pics & diagrams I found shows the pcv valve in the drivers side valve cover.

PCV should be on the pass side with a breather on the drivers side

BUT, it will work fine if switched

Thanks for the quick response. That's how I've got it now. Didn't notice no breather cap when I was checking it over, but saw it wasn't there when I changed the air filter.
