getting close to finisihing a new engine build and just wondering if i should just run it out of the box, or do you guys have any suggestions on ball park sizes? run with or with power valves, mains, air bleeds, sqirters, neadle & seats. i have a 8082-1 two circuit 1050. the engine is a 528 wedge 4.150 x 4.500, 12-4 to 1, edelebrook max wedge with victor intake. comp cam 700 lift int and ex, 280 dur @ .050 on int, 286 dur @.050 on exhaust. 2" pro part headers and flow master muffs. I leave off a brake with a glide with apr. 5000 stall. thanks for any of your personal recomdations.

i have a 3 curcuit 1050 quickfuel dommy which seems to like 91's & 93's no power valves & stock air bleeds on a 512 with a roller cam in the mid 270's @ 050.

The first, and most important suggestion would be to run some type of wideband O2.

Next, keep in mind that the main jet and high speed bleed are a combination. The High speed air bleed can have a greater effect on the fuel curve at WOT than the main jet size can. This depends largely on engine size. Smaller engines = larger high speed air bleed...Larger engines = smaller high speed air bleed.

With that in mind I would run a high speed air bleed no larger, in any circumstance on a 528 cu. in. than .028"

93 to 95 main jet seems to be a norm for a 1050 Dominator.

I would start out square as your description sounds like an all out, or at least more than a street strip race deal. After your WOT is sorted, definatly run a power valve in the primary side and take out the main jet amount ot correspond to the power valve channel restrictor size.

The basic math for a power valve is ...
primary main jet surface area + power valve channel restrictor area = secondary main jet surface area.

This would be a brief description on Wide Open Throttle tuning for a Dominator.

idle, transition ,and acceleration pump tuning are all thats left to do.

The last suggestion ( perhaps this should have been the first) would be not to run it out of the box.

start with what holley recomends and go from there, the boys from holley are sure to know a little bit about them.
