I'd be very interested in seeing the combo suggestions as well.
1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 (440 Six Pack, 4-speed, Dana 60 4.10)
1972 Plymouth Road Runner (400, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)
1974 Plymouth Duster 360 (360, 4-speed, 8.75" 3.23)

You can make 450. Get a cam from Bob K or Dwyane, and put the 850 DP on it. Good exhaust and heads and put as much CR in as you can tolerate. Flat top and 906s probably around 9.5:1, making some asumptions (7cc valve relief, 88 cc head, zero deck, .040" gasket)
This is close to the combo we ran in our 64 Plymouth; 10:1 pistons, 509 cam (there are better ones), HD stamped rockers, template ported 452 heads, RPM intake, 850 DP carb. Car ran 11.70's through the mufflers at 3250 w/o driver.

don't try and run a 509 w/ a 2800 stall and 3.23's. with the 3.23's and 2800 stall I'd call and have a custom cam made up.

Yeah I got 484 Purple in mine with a 2800 stall and 3.91 gears and its perfect. Probably better dropp down to a 2200-2400 stall with those 3.23's I bet. Dummy me.

Assuming pump gas. Get quench so you can run more CR/good dist curve on the exact same octane. Squeeze (CR) is one of the most important parameter of an eng's power potential.
