I know of a 440 E-body that ran 10.60s years ago with a hyd cam, 7200RPM somehow.

Pretty much how much you want to spend to get the performance. A basic hydraulic deal can go nines in a 3000 lb car with the right big block stuff. I went 10.10 at 131 mph with a 268 @ .050 .540 lift juice cam in a 12.5 to 1 compression 475 inch BB with 440-c unported heads, and a 750 alky carb. Weight was 3180. A bigger carb, more compression, porting and maybe schubeck lifters and some big springs to make it rev and it could have gone mid nines with a longer duration higher lift cam.

8..603 156 mph best, 2905 lbs 549, indy 572-13, alky
