You've done better than I have, I ended up taking my stock pick up(1971 Duster) to a local hot rod fab. shop and they removed the stock pick up and duplicated the bends with a stainless 1/2 inch tube and silver soder it back in the stock location They even attached the sending unit like it was stock so it reamined in calibration IHTHs.

Unless that thing has a SERIOUS motor, a 3/8" line will be plenty.

I made plenty of 1/2 picks when I worked in the fuel lab for Chrysler... if you have a bender you can do it BUT when soldering it back on to the plate watch out that you dont over heat/burn the isolator for the gauge you cant get them
