Here are my current specs:

74 Cuda with a 360,
Eddy torker II intake,
Eddy torker Plus cam,
The specs are as follows:
@050 Int dur. 222 , Ex dur. 234
Lift Int .447 Ex .450
Intake Centre line 107 Ex centerline 116.
About 9:1 compression.
Holley 750 vac secondary carb.
Dizzy has been recurved, running 20 initial, 38 total all in before 3000.

727 with stock converter (I know -its on the list!)
8-3/4 with 3.22s

I have been thinking for a while taht I may go to a dual plane intake (eddy perform RPM) and a matching cam to make the car a little more streetable (move the powerband down a bit as it is a bit of a dog under 2000 rpm).

I was looking at the Performer RPM cam spcs, and it is not much different from what I have now.

So if I put on a good dual plane intake, would that improve the overall streetability of the car, giveign it more power down low????

Any thoughts woudl be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

I'm sure that most would say that the RPM Air Gap is the default favorite for most mild to wild Mopar small block engines.

If you don't want it to be a dog under 2000, change those gears and converter. No intake manifold will cover that. However with the rpm intake, low speed driving should be improved but I can't guarantee it will help as much as you are looking for.

A dual plane from a single would but maybe not the amt of gain that you are seeking. What about advancing the cam 4 deg & if so check the P/V clearances as adv it reduces the clearance of one of the valves I forget which one.

What is the seat timimg of the cam?

Considering the cam size, I would consider putting on the factory intake and TQ or other spreadbore carb.

What is the cranking cylinder pressure? As mentioned, advancing the cam would probably help too.

As has already been mentioned, a Performer RPM intake would probably be an improvement. If it was me, i would use the money you would spend buying an intake and put it toward a converter.

I would use an LD340. Love that intake. Old school that will still perform with the best of them.

Swap the single plane for an LD340, and if you can't find one run a Perfprmer RPM. Run a one inch,4 hole spacer under the carb and advance the cam you have 4 degrees. If your headers are bigger than 1 5/8 tubes, they are too big and helping to rob low end torque. Good luck.
