I have a question about the exhaust tip hanger brackets that are in the trunks of Cudas and I believe also Challengers. I have seen some that are bare metal and others that are painted the color of the trunk floor and still others that have like undercoating sprayed on them and over a small section of the floor around the bracket. Which is correct?

Bare metal/plated - They were put on well after the car was painted. Some have seam sealer underneath.

The seam sealer was to prevent the water from leaking out of the trunk.
