I don't know if I qualify yet as racing. Do about 35 passes a year at T&T and race the Chrysler classic each year at Norwalk. Improving every year. After first buying Prosport's Dartsport, went to the track 3 years ago having never been down the dragstrip. It was rediculous, redlined it when missing shifts, left the hood scoop plug in on one run etc. It's nice to know others have done similar things. Only went like mid 11's in the car. Slowly working it down and went a best in the car this year with a 9.77 second pass. I run it to see how much I can improve each time out. I am not necessarily concerned about how many rounds I go against guys who race all the time and I don't get worked up about it if I lose. Life is to short to make racing a full time job. I have one of those. Don't get me wrong, I am competitive and trying to improve. I am not trying to pour a huge amount of money into it constantly chasing e.t.'s. I enjoy the people I meet at the track and my family enjoys going with me. There are a lot of members on this board who have helped me with advice and also by personally helping me with the car on and off the track. Thanks to everyone who has helped me learn at this sport. That kind of help will keep the sport alive. That being said, I look forward to running CRT someday for criticising Prosport for selling his car to a "Chevy" guy which I am not. I would also like to run Thumperdart after he runs that Big Tire Nova. I don't have a lot of knowledge to share with anyone yet, but maybe someday I can help someone new to the sport. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving.

I think this is a great post and should be used to weed out the ones that are keyboard crewchiefs. From my experiance racing changes all the time, new tire compounds, new traction compounds, new motor combos, etc the only thing consistant is change. So if some one is not out there at the track doing what's needed there prolly giving bad info. This board is about progressing mopars at the track, me helping who I can and others helping me, if I get a consistant hassle from someone that is just running there mouth like a parrett cause they seen someone else type the same thing that does not help others because they really can't explane the reasons why changes are needed or why it helps. So yes I think track time is very important for anyone that posts in this section. I know the motor guys hardly never get out to the track, there always dynoing or building new combos. But till it's proven on the track is it really a move in the right direction? Would you rather have a motor built by a guy that's never been to the strip or someone that's out Trying new things in the name of faster?
Theres alot more to being quick than just a engine, a chassis set up or a bad converter will make a good engine look bad.... its a package deal

That would be "we're".
Always good to watch what you're throwing out there

That would be "we're".
That would also be, "Critical" Witch fastmp was.
I admit I am a bad speller sometimes too. After 2 or 3 beers my proper spelling and grammar seems to elude me.

OK one has to be able to spell, race a heavy car, have a 9 " rear to post ? Yes Then as a engine builder, you must also be at the track to see how to build one ? You guys are Hard Core for sure ! Me I race when I feel like it and have nothing else to do.
