this is the last set i did.....
std port EZ head, opened up to MW size.
different valve job, back cut valves, blended bowls, ported chambers.

4.375" bore, 28" test pressure:

lift-------I/E
.100--71.3/59.5
.200-142.7/105.4
.300-202.5/143.0
.400-253.1/178.5
.500-299.2/205.8
.550-317.9/213.2
.600-332.8/220.7
.650-342.2/224.9
.700-344.0/228.6

std port EZ head, OOTB:

lift-------I/E
.100--68.0/54.2
.200-124.2/99.0
.300-175.5/137.1
.400-224.6/172.7
.500-263.0/194.8
.550-277.2/205.7
.600-288.0/212.0
.650-293.7/217.7
.700-297.6/219.7

these heads can have some core shift in the exhaust bowl, and as a result, sometimes they just turn out better on some ports than others(even the CNC'd ones).
also, since they have come out, i've noticed Indy has used a few different cutters to do their initial valve job, which can affect how they work when used OOTB.

my experience with these heads is, they really respond well in the mid-lift to having the chambers reworked a little.

Pretty good numbers Dwayne. Do you have the numbers for my EZ heads on file? I think mine flowed about 350 cfm on your bench at .600 lift and .700 lift.

i dont have the numbers here at home Andy, but as i recall, those MCH CNC'd versions were close to 360/240 @ .700 lift, with about a 310cc intake runner.

I done the basic work on my EZ's,blend the bowls, smooth the push-rod pinch etc. I had Nick finish the job with setting the spring height and the valve job.He has the sheet and I will post it after the holiday

Any chance you could post the rest of the #s that Dwayne provided? I'd be curious how they compare to his results for my CNC'd Victors.

PRH test of my Hughes CNC Victors on 4.375" bore:
Lift -- Int / Exh
.100 --- 75 / 58
.200 -- 169 / 109
.300 -- 237 / 157
.400 -- 280 / 201
.500 -- 318 / 229
.550 -- 329 / 239
.600 -- 341 / 246
.650 -- 347 / 253
.700 -- 345 / 256

Not a Max Wedge port, but bigger than a typical "standard" port (2.40 x 1.30").

So what are those called? Std port? Thats the way they come from Edelbr.?
Is this why you are making Franken-fold?
Thanks, Don

Your Victors flow a little better than my EZ heads up until about .600. Then the EZ heads continue to increase while the Victors flatten out for some reason. Not sure why that is, maybe Dwayne has an idea if he checks back on this thread.

Hughes calls them their "standard port" CNC, since they also offer a Max Wedge version. As the Victors come from Edelbrock, they're a "normal" standard size.

And, yes, this is the reason for "Franken-fold."

I'll probably just put it on top of this Edelbrock box that somebody sent me about a year and a half ago that I've never opened...

It might be just as easy to state your performance goal and ask if you can get there w/ EZ-1s...

I think sixpackgut's going 9s w/ his in his Challenger.
