Sweet! The motor is going in

Great looking project. Going to be doing the T-56 swap into my Duster this autumn.

With all the work I have been doing lately I was finally able to set the motor into the car. I unbolted the RMS suspension and bolted the engine to it , After that I lowered the body over the motor. Other than some clearancing around the belhousing the swap went smoothly.

I got into installing the starter today. I will be using Mopar part # P5249644AB , I found that this is the only starter that will work for the Gen 3 hemi with TTI headers and the Alterkation front end. First thing I had to do is grind off 2 of the rear bolt bosses on the oil pan rail to gain clearance, (since I don't need these any way)then the starter bolts on easy.As you can see in the first picture the starter won't bolt on with the bosses on the oil pan rail in the way.

I had to open up the top hole for the stud on the belhousing to slip though.

After measuring my Driveline angle at 1 degree down, I modified the transmission crossmember. The transmission has a 4 degree slant on the mounting pad so I made a Aluminum block to fit between the mount and the transmission pad with the 4 degree angle milled in. The modified transmission mount was reinforced with 1/8 plate an added to the width for more mounting area.(As you can see in the picture the 4 degree difference the T56 has with the crossmember.)

I milled the mount surface 4 degrees

Mounted in place , Don't shoot me , I havent ground down the welds on the crossmember.
