Im not up on my carbs too well, but I just removed a Holley 3310 from a 73 Dart 340. So what carb is the list 3310? It has both metering plates but only a vaccuum secondary. Thanks

416 stroker from Nick at Compu-flow. 11.14 in full street trim. Seems like a new best every time out.

Older ones were 780 and most of the new ones are 750 CFM from what I have read. They are a good reliable street/strip carb

It could be that someone removed the secondary metering plate and replaced it with a metering block, like in the front. OEM jetting is 72 primaries and would be 75 or 76 for the metering block in the secondary position.
Originally had a power valve up front but not in the secondaries.

Good all-around carbs. Tuned right, they might be only 1-2 tenths slower than a properly tuned 750 double pump carb.

One of my favorites as well. I've used them on everything from solid lifter 340's to bone stock 440's.

Another vote for the 3310 here. I went 119.75 mph this summer with one. It still had the choke plate in it too, lol.

As mentioned above, the 3310-1 is a 780 cfm. After that, they were 750 cfm(-2,-3, etc.)

The 3310 is about the best street/strip carb out there for milder engines. Dirt cheap, easily tuned, fits nearly everything, and has no bad habits.

I will disagree that the vac sec 3310 will give up as much ET as was mentioned above. Except for particular circumstances, 750cfm is 750cfm and each should run similar if properly tuned. But, if the carb is to see street duty, the 3310 is a lot friendlier than the DP.

I have ran into the 7s in the 1/8 with 3310s.

If the carb is going to be on the street too, open the PVCRS and step the main jets down an equivalent amount. They are too rich on the cruise circuit. Not as bad as the DP, but enough that it needs addressed.

Adjust the balance between the mains and the PVCRs, tune the PV opening point, and dial in the secondary opening point and you have a rockin' carb.........for cheap.

Master, again and still

Ok I did a little checking on this carb today, it has 72's in the front and 76's in the back. Its not a double pumper so why does it have a power valve in the rear plate?? It also has the round black lean adjuster on it. I want to say this car hasnt been on the road since around 78 and im gonna guess it wasnt much before it got wrecked that this carb was bought/put on.It's stamped 3310-1. Thanks for all your help, I think im going to try to restore and use this carb.

That's an original 3310 which was rated at 780! It came with a secondary metering block and the original power valves were 10.5 primary and 8.5 secondary. Jets you have are original.

Not familiar with the "lean adjuster".

Most double pumpers do not have a power valve in the secondaries but did have the metering block with jets.

3310-2 and later had a metering plate instead of a block and were rated at 750. Maybe a cost saving measure.

Not 100% sure, but I believe 3310 Holleys were used on some z-28's and/or big block Chevy's as well as being available as an aftermarket performance carb?

many 3310-1 with secondary power valve were sold over the counter as gm 396 replacement carbs and as an all purpose "hp" carb
