Doesnt matter just as long as it jumps over... I have
a block out in the shop with a jumper but mine is
like the books shows... no big deal

I think mine is a -8 but
could be a -6... the block its on has bushed lifter
bores so its not loosing any oil but I think its -8

i'm interested in trying this setup instead of tubing the block. my ? is, in the 2nd pic hemikid shows it indicates the angle of the fitting into the block is critical. any info on this? thanks dave

The only thing I can see about the angle is clearing
the casting... its got to fill the one side before it
jumps over and it doesnt make pressure till both sides
are full(full pressure) so other than clearing I
dont see any angle issue. My block that its on is
bushed and now I'm changing to push ro oiling so I
need to drill my bushings... now I need to find my
drilling tool for that
EDIT
I also glue screen in all of the valley drains too,
if anything breaks up top the screen stops it(at
least any big stuff), JB Weld works fine... even do
the back wall

I believe "critical angle" is a term used to determine fixed angles. In other words, dont drill into the passage at a 55 degree angle if the fitting is 45 degrees.

If you did your mod to the diagram shown in the book/illustration shown above. The new oil tube feed the #1 main bearing. Or did you install a plug after the #1 main, in the lh bank as it was to go up to the lh galley? Just curious.
