Will the dana 60 cover clear the stock gas tank in an a-body? This car will set pretty low too.
If you have one that works without hitting, please let me know what works. Would like to run the the Moser cover. thanks in advance!

don't think anything but a stock cover will fit, might use the girdle a just put a pocket in the tank to clear.

you will need to hammer in the back of the gas tank and trim down the studs

I was hoping you wouldn't say that,lol... I really didn't want to hammer on a brand new tank. Oh well!
Everything in this car is new and debating on putting one of my danas in it for the simple fact thats it's a stick car.
So what you are telling me is a stock cover won't clear either?
Thanks for your quick replys guys.

Thanks Ari and Randy!!!
I can live with a stock cover, just powdercoat it or something.
Just not a chrome kinda guy is all.

Is there a way to loosen the tank straps and try to slide it forward slightly? My rearend is moved 1" back right now, and id like to keep it that way when i put my dana in with the stock tank...wondering how much bashing im going to have to do or if i can eliminate some of it by sliding tank back

Mine is moved back 1" and clears the tank, barely. It has the junk chrome cover that came on it from Strange.

Strange S60, with chrome cover. Rear in stock position.

About an inch of clearance.

69 Dart, the standard cover is chrome stamped steel. I don't have a photo but it's clears the tank by less than 1/4".
