I want some advice here
I am going to put on a new fuel pump. I am looking at the aeromotive high output aei-11209 its internally regulated to 7 psi, so it needs no regulator or return line, sounds nice,or the aeromotive street/strip aei-11203 I think it would need a return line.
I am also looking at the mallory 4140 140 gph comes with a regulator and I think it is a deadhead style.
I also have a holley blue pump and regulator sitting in my toolbox that I already have.
Is it going to be a problem to run a deadhead style regulator on the street?
I have 3/8 hardline and a return line in the car now, but it is a factory setup so I could use the return line with a little creative hose placement. Is the factory 3/8 line o.k. or should I run a new -8 line up from the tank. I was planning on using the 3/8 pickup tube thats already in the tank, I think it will be o.k. for the horsepower I make. any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Get this setup. The regulator has a bypass for the return line.
