Are these correct for a 1972 Cuda (S code) or should they be all black?

They are correct for 72 and up cars, 70 and 71 cars do not have the two holes shown in the front of each insert. The front of each of these should be painted a flat black color. Does that answer your question?

FWIW, I have a pair of NOS '70 ones here that are finished with Organisol.

My car was built April 21 of 1970 and it has the two holes. Original hood and scoops to the car.
Built at Hamtrack. Are you sure that all 70's did have the holes?

The part numbers look like 2998212 and 2998213 (hard to read). Two large pins on the back plus the screws.

No idea if they're original to the car.

I was leaning to blacking them out, the bright ribs just call attention to the fact that the scoops are fake.

Thanks guys.
