Does anybody run the edelbrock rpm heads with the mopar .590 cam in their Big block ,,I have a set and Im thinking of putting them on the dart this winter ,it currently has 516 heads ,it weighs around 3300 lbs with driver.and has a 5000 stall converter ... any ideas on performance ???
A couple of racers I know use that exact combination. It works real well. You need to upgrade the valve springs to make it last.I use Comp 928's for that setup. Keith

I had a typical trw piston/stock rod 440 with bagshaw ported 906's and hi-rate of lift .570 Hughes hydraulic cam, and it went consistant 10.80-10.90 in my 2900lb 70 Challenger with a glide. I put Eddie RPM's and a 590 on that shortblock, and the 2nd pass with no tuning was 10.69. The seventh pass I hit it with 250 out of the hole, and stacked 175 on it in 2nd... it kicked a rod at 1100 ft, and broke the cam in 3 places on it's way to a 9.21-141. That was the end of my experience with that combo!!!
