And will this basic cam work well in a stock 8.1 cr 400? thanks for any info

Will work in a 400 as well.

it was in fact the stock cam on 400 magnums untill 73 as far I know

Those specs are for the Resto-Cam that Mopar Performance sells. The advertised specs are WRONG. It is not nearly that much duration, so don't guy buy another cam thats 228/241. Either buy the resto cam from Mopar, or a cam with actual similar numbers to stock. Stock would be 214/225 on a 114 LSA.
