I could get a under hood light for my 70 Challenger. They say it's original...

Where will it fit exactly? And how to connect to electrical harness (has one wire)?

How will it switch on and off??

After all these years having a 440 I realized that this means having an attitude... and a budget.

There is no such a thing as a factory installed underhood light on any 70-74 Challenger.

Great!

But... how did they find the engine in the dark???

To be honest: I just believed it only since it was the article description on EBAY.

At least it was not too costly.

Factory installed, No.
At least not on 68-70 B-bodies or 70-74 E-bodies , afaik.
I 'think' maybe they were avail on C-bodies and Imperials.

but there was an over the counter kit to put one in anything which is probably what your finding

Quite possible that the trunk release was a parts counter item, or pulled from another Mopar, but E-bodies never came with them from the factory.
