Rocko OP R Joined: May 2009 Posts: 344 Indiana	What length of driveshaft do I need for a 4-door M body with an 8.25" rear axle and 360/727? Is fabrication the only option?

RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,041 Lincoln Nebraska	the specs MAY be in the archives & you'd need a 727/4sp front yoke & not familiar w 8&1/4's whether they have 7260 (small) or 7290 (large) ujoints so measure inside to inside on the pinion flange & 3&1/8" is 7260 & 3&5/8" is a 7290 or a combo ujoint (one half of the ujoint cross is 3&1/8 and the other half is 3&5/8). If you cant find the correct one & scrounge another shaft (which must be longer) a driveline shop can shorten/balance it for you live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
