I had a buddy call and wanted advice on a stock replacement piston set for a 68 hp motor in his gtx that was bored .030. He is going back stock except intake and carb. Any advice ?

1st I'd check out the KB hypers on either their site or 440sources' site. More info: does he want close to oe weights so no rebalanceing? More or less static CR? It'd have open chambered 906's (if unmolested)

Yes it's a basic oe budget rebuild. Car has a bout 140k miles on it.

There is no stock replacement piston for a 68 440 , the only choices are 2 smogger low compression pistons or a piston that would be a 6pk replacement , go with the 6pk replacement .
