I saw that the new issue of Mopar Muscle has an ad for the E-Street heads. Found this: http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/cylheads/chrysler/bb_estreet.shtml They don't really say how they differ from the Performer RPM. Published flow numbers are the same. I noticed it doesn't mention helicoils in exhaust bolt holes like it does for the RPMs.

Did these Heads ever happen?

Nope. And Edelbrock has removed them from their web site, too. Guess they got the ol' flusheroo due to the economy.

I have to agree on the 300. I know there is quite a bit of German engineering all over the 300....

development was actually well underway on the LX's when the merger happened. in fact, Daimler delayed the release of them because of demands to redesign to incorporate daimler parts (steering column is the biggie, but also the rear axle, etc) to gain some economy of scale sourcing parts for the E-class.
