Blown Hemis w/big boost(rotor type blowers) use a front crank suport. Otherwise they crack in the #1 throw. Dont know how much load the centrifical types put on the crank. I suspect that not nearly as much due to it being baisicaly a gear driven turbo. So the main shaft requires less torque to rotate. Speed is generated by a gearset in the blower assembly and boost is controlled by bleed off. whereas speed/boost is all belt/Pulley dependant on a rotor type blower.
