Was out last night and noticed that when I switched from parking lights to headlights, the paking lights went out when the headlights came on. Turn signals still operate properly. Is this correct? Or am I experiencing a wiring or switch problem?

It's the same on my 66 Satellite too Gary. My '68 GTX is the same. I don't think the park lights stayed on with the headlites until sometime in 1969. They use a different switch I think.
I'm trying to remember if my '69 Coronet R/T worked the same...it's been 39 years!!!

Yes, it's a new safety requirement for 1969 cars although 1967-68 Barracudas did it already. A lot of people, me included, converted their '64-65 Barracudas to do it.

'67 Imperials kind of did it but they had parking lights that were separate from the turn signals in the front.
