This may seem obvious to some, but are you asking about the FRONT or the REAR?

a stock dart rear wheel opening can handle a 235/60-15 tire. If the axle is centered perfect between the quarters, you can get a 245/60-15 tire in there. With a rolled lip, you should be able to get 255/60-15, but you may have to play with the rim back spacing. With production style rims, a 245/60-15 will only be about 1/4" away from the leaf spring on the inside bulge of the tire.

Cop wheels I have 255/60x15 on the rear with 235/60x15 on the front
some tire makes I have had to install a 1/8th spacer to the rear.

My 69 has 255-60x15 on 8-inch rims, rolled lip on quarters, stock spring location, later big bolt pattern, big brake a-body 8 1/4 rear. Tires are wall to wall with about 1/4-inch to quarter and the same to the leaf springs. Low stance. Never rubs.
