Thanks Mike. VERY NICE CAR! Is yours an original Elastomeric bumper car? Looks like California plates, is that where you picked it up?
yes, car came from Lancaster, Ca and yes, it has rubber bumpers, has 55K miles. I did cheat and have the original engine rebuilt for care free driving.

Thanks 68killer, Yeah the fronts look especially wimpy..... I just had to try them for a showing. Steve, Thanks for the Props! Your thread was what inspired me to keep on going on my car. Your car looks GREAT although it looks like you may need a set of mud flaps for those Monsters. Scatpacktom, Thanks. I'm with YOU on this one! I think I'll stick with the Polyglas and rallye's. It would be a shame to use them on a trailer. I think the Dodge boys did a pretty good job hitting the bullseye on looks back in '71.

I don't think it is, but i don't know that for sure. I bought the car in Nov. 2001 and was told by the second owner it had sat in storage for 15 years (Oklahoma). That would bring us back to '86.... First owner said he had a relative with a small car lot sell it for him because it was getting kind of shabby. He was also from Oklahoma.... The first owner was stationed (Air Force) for some time in Cocoa beach Fla. and said that is were it picked up the rust. It would have had to deteriorate pretty much in those three years. The next time I talk to the original owner, I'll ask if he ever spent time in Utah. Is there an Air force base near there? Thanks for the reply, another possible part of the story to try and track down. Talked to the original owner. He said its been through Utah but never resided there. Different car.....
