No differance between front and back.

Thanks so they don't matter which way they get twisted?? so it would not matter if they were in the right or left sides then either??

No answer for you but I have always wondered the same thing! They say there is a left and right and they need to be on the correct side, but it doesn't matter which end goes in first.

Maybe I'm slow, but that doesn't make sense to me. Putting different ends in first would make them twist in different directions...and I understand that they are made to twist in a specific direction.

I've never seen (not saying there isn't one) an explanation as to why they are not specific as to which end goes in first...

Hopefully someone can chime in.

They twist in the same dirrecting no matter what end is in the front. You need to get them on the correct side of the car though.

Me two Left bar in driver side end A is in the driver lower control it gets twisted counter clockwise looking from front and end B in back looking from back would be twisted clockwise.

switch around now with B end in front it would now be twisted counter clockwise and A in back would have clockwise twist???

Picture putting the lid on a bottle. No matter whether you're holding the cap or the bottle in your right hand, you're still turning your right hand clockwise to tighten the lid. It's no different with the torsion bar.

But if you glued to milk bottles together at the bottom (assumimg screw on caps) and put the cap ends in a vise and turned whole thing one would tighten while the other tried to loosen???

I started an argument YEARS ago with my high school auto theory teacher when he told the class that the reason for a stud with right hand threads on one end and left hand threads on opposite ends, was for applications such as 2 piece cue stick. I told him he was full of it, and the class wasted another hour on the subject, and teach finally agreed he was wrong.

Put the end w the #'s/letters to the rear so later on down the line you can see it to refer to it if you forget whats in there as the front ends will be covered

I would like to know what happens if you put them on the wrong side? What problems would you have?

in that case either way end to end will work for you. Some of the real large bars (I dont know about MP ones) can even go on either side (but keep it on the same side always) as they are not marked side specific. EDIT no R or L just 920 right?

Actually, you proved my point. What I'm trying to say is that just because you swap the ends front to rear, the direction needed to tighten the lid doesn't change. Pretend the glued-together bottles are the passenger side torsion bar. The LCA is attached to one cap, and the other cap is in the torsion bar anchor. When the passenger side wheel comes up, the cap is going to tighten. Even if you swap them end for end, it will work the same way.

If a Tbar was suspended in air & you walked up on it from the side and extended your arms and grabbed the left end w your left hand and the right end w your right hand then applied a bit of torque to each end clockwise & held it on both ends then turned (rotated) your body around halfway a half turn you'd still be applying torque to each end the same way (clockwise)so the bar would still be getting twisted the same way

Guess I'm trying to look at it from two pivot points when one is anchored.
