Does anyone know where to get lower ball joints for a 73 Fury III the only place I can find them are at Just Suspension for $159 each. That seems kinda steep.

I think that might just be what they go for. IIRC, the LBJ's for 73's were essentially the same as the earlier cars that used drum brakes. The disk brake cars used different parts that are either hard or impossible to find. So much so, I think that there are some places that are rebuilding LBJ's for some of those applications.

Might want to keep your eyes out in the salvage yard for LBJ's that are fresh looking or in good shape. I lucked out and got a decent set on the 73 disk brake setup I got for my Fury a while back.

Oreilly's can get them but no price listed.

None look cheap.

Yeah I just paid $115 each for lbj's for a 65 dart w 9 drums and that was w them knocking off $10 off of each one. They were Moog's that had been on the shelf for years so I figured they were made in USA Moogs. EDIT a local parts house

65-73 C body lower ball joints have been discontinued by the regular parts suppliers for many years now. $159 a piece is about the best you're gonna find nowadays. NOS ones do turn up on ebay fairly often but the prices can be all over the place. I snagged a pair last year for $120 and felt that was pretty good.

The disc ball joint is for the Budd disc brake cars pre 69 only. Your car uses the "regular" ball joint, same as the drum brake cars from 65 forward. If you think the 73 joint is pricey be thankful you don't need the one for Budd brakes.

Call Martin Kolner @ Arizona Parts - he can look up the OE part#'s for you & he MIGHT have NOS: (480) 966-6683. If he does, his prices are very reasonable.
