apparently they dont make the firewall insulation (the one thats glued on) for 71 b-bodies. are e-bodies the same? or at least similar enough to modify to work? any help is appreciated. thanks!

I think you mean underdash insulation and they are different as far as I know

Check with Jim at Detroit Muscle Technologies, he refers to them as a "shoddy pad". I sent him a nice one from a 72' b-body some time ago for reproduction, not sure of the current status.

alright, thats probably what Im refering to. I wonder if anyone just sells the sheets that I can cut my own? I have some pictures of my original..

I have the same issue. I'm going to try using a 71 Cuda insulation and I'm hoping it is close because the firewalls are the same.

thats what I was kinda thinking, but some people said it wouldn't work, and thats why Im askng here. please let me know how it works out. thanks!

You didn't tell me I'd be the only guy making it I may have to step on it.

Can't buy that stuff in small qty's. It comes in huge rolls and is used by the OEM auto companies and thier suppliers.
