Track was slick, couldn't hook at all....dang ! The short times were brutal.....in the 1.9 - 2.1 range. The stroker is just blowing the drag radials off despite a massive burnout. The MPH is up in the 123mph range but the ET's suck (mid 11's) Track prep was minimal but the big tire cars running slicks seemed to be hooking better than me. I guess it's tru that Drag Radials are marginal on poorly prepped tracks. It might be time for a set of stiff sidewall slicks. The green monster did good....a string of 10.00x passes and 135-136 mph but no 9 second slip.....ohhhhh so close ! Might head back out today and try again Ron

Ron, until you get the tire/chassis situation sorted out, you may want to try "walking it out" off the line a bit. even with less than 100% track conditions you should be able to get the short times into the 1.70's with a little driving finesse. i'm not saying it will be a "cure", but until you have it sorted out, you could try it a few times and see where it gets you. glad to hear you got the car up and running with the new mill!! whats the rpm at the finish line?

I'm not so sure those tires like a massive burnout either. Tire pressure it quite critical as well....regardless, I'm sure your still having fun...we know the motor has tons of potential in it.

Dwayne, this is a quote he posted on the Dodge Charger board,,,maybe he can confirm it,,, Good seeing you post Dwayne... !! Doug Quote:
(Run #2) i decided to run it hard and it launched well. The 60ft was in the 1.55 range and the pig was screaming. Unfortunately i had a brain fart and let off the throttle at the 1000 ft mark and ran an 11.01 @ 117 but the 1/8 mile ET was at 7.02 which shows high 10's in the 1/4

Thanks for the suggestions guys Spoke with Dwayne and he gave me some ideas and stuff to look at. Thanks Dwayne The trans was acting funny so i'll have the line pressure tested and make sure the pump is functioning properly. Going to run the valves and do a compression test. The car was low on fuel & with the stock (sumped) gas tank it's very possible the pickup was becoming uncovered. The guy in charge of refueling needs to be fired ! Everything is new in this build so it's going to take some time to sort through it. Plans are for another track day at the end of the month. Jim (Montessa) i will send you a message so we can hook up. I'd luv to see your car run Ron
