Could someone post a picture of a '69 b-body six-way seat track installed on a seat from the bottom? Is there supposed to be a clip on the loop adjuster rod that connects the two track release levers together for front to back adjustment. There is no clip on mine and when I move the adjuster lever only the driver's side track lever moves. There is not enough tension in the wire to pull the other side. Is so what does it attach to? Does it use the same one as the plain 2-way track? If not could someone post a picture of the clip with dimensions so I could make one. Does anyone reproduce the track to floor pan studs?

No clip, the wire is bent. See attached.

The one above is mine but here's a shot of another from another site:

As for the studs, they're just a PITA. If I needed them I'd use carriage bolts. Not 100% stock but what-the-hell !!!

Thanks Stanton, mine has a wire that looks like that. Maybe mine just needs grease. Do you have any tips to clean up the tracks and gears to make everything move smoothly?

I'm not sure of the condition of yours but here's what I did to mine:

1) remove the knobs and loose items like the wires, etc.
2) hot tank - there is nothing on these frames that a hot tank will destroy. The hot tank should do a good job of breaking down the old grease in the tracks.
3) sandblasted (in a blast cabinet) to get rid of the rust (hot tank doesn't remove rust)
4) blow all the sand and dust out
5) into the parts washer with clean solvent to wash any remaining grease or sand out - run the tracks back and forth while running the solvent through the tracks. Blow and wipe dry.
6) prime and paint (rattle can self-etch primer and "Mopar" chassis black)
7) CRC wire rope spray lube in the tracks. The nice thing about this lube is that it sprays on very thin then thickens up to form a thin layer of grease and its colorless.

Thanks Stanton. Does anyone have any tips to reinstall the large counterbalance coil springs for the rear pivot?

BTT. What is the best way to re-install the counterbalance clock springs on the rear pivot? Would a spanner wrench work, what size do I need?

Edit: I ended up making a tool out of 3/16" x 3" x 3'L steel flat bar. I drilled and tapped the bar for four 1-1/2" 5/16"-18 bolts to capture the clock spring while I tightened it in place. Make sure you use grade 8 or stronger bolts.
