Hey gang.. OK, looking for illustrations and discussion on the installation ease/difficulty of installing the #3DFS727A into a '68-'70 B-body, in particular, my '69 Daytona over there to the left. It's a 4.10 Dana car and I don't want to compromise the 4.10's (love 'em on the local streets, hate them on the highway). From one thread on the Charger Board, it looks pretty straight up... Anyone with a unit in a Dana-equipped car? If so, what was the length of the shortened driveshaft?
Thanks in advance..

Come on.. No one out there has a '66-'70 Body with a Dana equipped with a GV unit? If so, what's the new shorter length you used for the driveshaft? I'm trying to get one of my extra driveshafts prepped and ready for installation the same day I finish the GV installation...

The one I'm ordering is this one, with the 18" tailhousing. So, this is the one I need measurements if I can get them before hand so I can have the driveshaft already made up and ready to go...

Just my two cents, but I wouldn't have the shaft pre-made....I would measure everything after you install it. You will probably still have stuff to hook up while your waiting on the drive shaft....
I like the shorty OD set-up, but thats me.

Troy, I've done the GV swaps (auto and 4spd) as well as the Keslier TKO swaps,...wait untill the install is complete, and measure out for the shaft with the car resting on it's suspension, haste makes waste, nothing worse than having a shaft too short or long,...seen too many guys make this mistake.......

You should check out that shorty kit from SMR. It looks like it will give you a better overall install.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

That's what I did. The local drive shaft shop down here did my shaft in one day.
