Hello I've got some rust issue in the rear of the car and will most likely need to replace the trunk pan and the rear frame rails. Also a battery tray... Unfortunately I'm on a tight budget and I'm trying to find some sources for the body parts that are affordable but not incredibly cheap chinese crap. Any recommendations?

Another thing I bought a BB 727 off ebay, the guy lied and it ended up being a 19 spline... I'm having a heck of a time finding a torque converter. I'm trying to find a cheap 2500-3000 stall 19 spline converter any suggestions there?

Thanks in advance!
Adam

Adam, All is not lost on the trans. You can simply replace the spline to the more modern version. I ran into this a long time ago. I wondered why I couldn't get the converter installed and finally counted the splines and it was 19? I changed that and never looked back. I like your car!

Also this car originally came with a 318 SB 727 but I'm putting a 383 with about 400hp and with the BB 727 behind it... will I have to get the drive-shaft re-sized? Also I'm looking to get a new case with like 3.55 SG gears for my 8 3/4 rear. Should I go with the small yoke for the case or get a case with the bigger yoke? I haven't check but I'm assuming since it was a 318 car the driveshaft prob is for the smaller yoke... I'd love to go all out with new driveshaft large yoke n all but my budget is tight.

Thanks in advance

I have never heard of a 1968 small block b body with a factory 727, but if that's what it has it would work with the big block tranny.
If you need a 727 large yoke & drive shaft I have a extra plymouth set up. PM me if you are interested.

the 383 will be putting out around 400hp at the crank, can i get away with using the small yoke on the rear differential?

"rrunner" i'm pretty sure it was factory but it could have been swapped in the lates 70s by the guy who owned it before me? I'm strapped for cash and after the body work i think i'll be pretty much broke. i'd go for the large yoke and setup you've got but the shipping to me here in IL would probably break me lol.

"pnypwr" thats hat i need to find to source the trunk and rear frame rails
