At the last inch or so the clutch chatters at that point. When engaged and driving all works fine just the racket when clutch is depressed that lst inch or so. It sounds a little like mismatched gears as in grinding a gear. I used the Mopar replacement clutch package and bearing.

Any ideas from the monster wealth of experiance here??

Did you resurface the flywheel? That is usually the problem. That or grease oil on the clutch plate FW or PP.I always clean mine with brake clean and handle the clutch by the edges.Rocky

Thanks Trocs for the input. Turns out that the fork pivot wears down and changes the goemetry so muh that the active side of the fork goes to far forward and lets the fork hit the clutch pac. The replacement fork is over $200.00 (major rip). We formed a couple of brass washers to make the fork I had work.
