I am finally assembling my rear bumper and I am gonna detail the bezels and I think this has been altered. This doesn't appear correct to me. I thought they have silver just around the "edges" not the whole inner square. I have had a few 73-4 Runners over the years and outta 4 sets of taillights I have here, they only have traces of paint left around the face of the edges. ...Thanks in advance....

I would say simply satellite maybe ?

I wouldn't trust on description. This guy described and listed these kinda reversed:

Satellite's had the silver colored taillight bezels, no black on them. RR's were black but I think you are correct in that they were only silver on the outer lip.

I have a pair of NOS 73-4 Satellite Taillights and they are all silver. I think I'll just do the edges since I believe that is the correct way...Unless anyone can prove otherwise...It would be easiar to detail if they were the way the nos one is shown in that pic....

That NOS one is the way I always have known RR/GTX to be painted.
From what I have seen, that is how most RR/GTX are done up.

Satellites are all silver, I customized mine with dark argent and silver on the inner and outer edges, plus I did the little ridges in between the lights.
My car:

If I could only find a rear bumper filler.

Below is a 1973 (supposedly) all original SSP I purchased and delivered from California, that I used to own, I was surprised it had the roadrunner style bezels. And extra NOS parts I got with the car were some RR style bezels painted in the same way. I believe this to be the correct paint config for the RR/GTX. Not sure why these were on this SSP when I got it.

Beautiful cars.. The first one is just like the one my grandfather bought new, with a towing package. That car is the reason that I own mine. I think the engine finally blew and it was left somewhere near Moose Head Lake in Maine after a very cool life...

Thanks for those pics, nice cars...I had an nice original paint 66k mile 73 Sebring years ago that I should have kept...I wonder if there was 2 different suppliers? I have seen typically only the edges painted silver...That being said do you still have any 73-4 taillight bezels you wanna get rid of?
